Dear friends,
On the 16th of September my dear wife Margreet went home to be with the Lord, following years of illness. We were married for almost 40 years and have known each other almost 42 years. Margreet had a fragile health, and the past nine years were years of increasing suffering.
Especially the last months she experienced intense agony. She passed away in her sleep. We recognize God’s graciousness in this, as we had prayed, at her request, that the Lord would take her home.
On the 22th of September we buried her body, knowing that she will be raised to glory on the last day. I myself led the funeral service, speaking from Job 19:25a: “For I know that my redeemer liveth”. A dear friend in the ministry spoke at the graveside.
In our sorrows, it gives us much joy to know that she is now with her Saviour Whom she loved so dearly because He paid for her sins at Calvary’s cross. And of Whom she knew that He loved her before she loved Him (1 John 4:19).
May the Lord bless you all.
